Garlic Pizza Dip

Sometimes you make a perfect pizza that has descended directly from the heavens and it needs no accompaniment. But SOMETIMES you also want to pair that heavenly pizza with an equally heavenly garlic dip. Let me tell you all about it. This dip comes together in less time than it will take your pizza to cook- which is perfect. Most people will have all of these ingredients on hand! I like to eat it warm with my pizza, but it can easily be made ahead of time and cooled as well- whatever you want! It’s soooo garlicky and leaves quite the impression after you eat it. A real lingerer. De-freakin-lish. So next time you make pizza, make yourself some delicious garlic dip and enjoy!!!

Ingredients

2 tbsp. Olive Oil

3 cloves Garlic

2 tbsp. Flour

½ cup Milk

Italian Seasoning (or Fresh Herbs)

Salt

Parmigiano-Reggiano- optional, to taste

Directions

Heat your olive oil in a pan. Add your garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, but be careful not to burn it!

Then add your flour and whisk constantly for about 1-2 minutes or until the taste of the flour has cooked off.

In a slow and steady stream, add your milk while whisking constantly. Continue whisking until the sauce has reached your desired thickness. Then remove from the heat and whisk in your seasonings and salt. Finally, if you’re feeling adventurous, whisk in your parmigiano-reggiano.

Serve warm or cool it in the fridge, the choice is yours!
